PLAXIS Workshops focus directly on learning and using the features of the Plaxis software related to the subject of the workshop. The main goal of this workshop is to teach the use and basic concepts of modelling road embankments on soft soil in PLAXIS 2D and to train the participants in using the software themselves.
During the day aspects on modelling of embankments are discussed as well as different models for soft soil, consolidation analysis and the use of drains.
For solving practical problems the latest PLAXIS 2D computer program will be used. It is recommended, though not required, that participants already have experience with the PLAXIS 2D software.
The course starts with registration at 8:45. The program format consists of four lectures (approx. 45 mins. each) and two exercises (approx. 75 mins. each) with full tutoring and discussion. The course will be completely in English. The organisers reserve the right to make any necessary amendments to the format or schedule.
