This workshop will be fully dedicated to modelling undrained behaviour of soil. The difference between the use of effective strength parameters and undrained shear strength is discussed as well the importance of using advanced soil models. The day will end with an exercise on how to compare Plaxis results with known undrained strength data.
- Undrained soil behaviour
- Undrained behaviour of clays
- Shansep method
The course starts with registration at 8:45. The program format consists of four lectures (approx. 45 mins. each) and two exercises (approx. 75 mins. each) with full tutoring and discussion. The course will be completely in English. The organisers reserve the right to make any necessary amendments to the format or schedule.
