This workshop is tailored towards practitioners in the industry to provide a good understanding of the use of Plaxis programs (both 2D and 3D) in the field of slope stability and factor of safety. It is intended for practising engineers who do already have some prior experience in using PLAXIS products and who are willing to improve their modelling skills and knowledge in the field of slope stability modelling with PLAXIS. An introduction on the use of PLAXIS 3D for slope stability will also be provided.

In this workshop you will learn more about:
- The principles of the Factor of Safety analysis with PLAXIS (Strength Reduction Method)
- Slope stability with the use of structural elements
- Relation with Design Approach in PLAXIS 2D
- The PLAXIS 3D modelling workflow
- 2D vs 3D slope stability
The workshop starts at 8:45. The program format consists of 4 lectures (approx. 45 mins each) and 3 exercises (approx. 75 mins each) with full tutoring and discussion. The workshop will be completely in English. The organisers reserve the right to make any necessary amendments to the format or schedule.

The lecturers have a long time experience with the use of PLAXIS software. Besides giving courses they are also daily involved with the users through the Support Department.
The cost of the workshop is € 695. The cost includes lunch and refreshments. The course fee also includes a full set of instruction manuals and the use of a computer.
The course will be held at the Plaxis Office (Computerlaan 14, Delft, 2628 XK).
