This two-day workshop with a special focus on modelling deep excavations in 2D and 3D will provide a good understanding on the use of our PLAXIS 2D and 3D software. It is intended for practicing engineers who do already have some prior experiences in using PLAXIS products and who are willing to improve their modelling skills and knowledge in the field of two and three-dimensional modelling with PLAXIS. The workshop includes theory and hands-on of advanced constitutive soil models, modeling of undrained behavior and the main differences between 2D and 3D modelling in finite element method. Attendees will take home practical skills for engineers working on geotechnical excavation design and should not be missed by anyone interested in deep excavations and FE geotechnics!


The two-day program is arranged in intensive session blocks, allowing for a compact and time effective workshop. This workshop has a well-balanced mix of theoretical presentations and practical hands-on sessions, guaranteeing an ideal learning environment. The workshop will be fully held in English exclusively by Senior PLAXIS Engineers.
